Translight Series
The Translight Series is a family of premium-printed cotton backdrops — exclusively developed by Big Image — and currently the only solution of its kind in the world. Designed to work seamlessly with front light, backlight, and controlled light transitions, each backdrop can be produced up to 350 sqm in a variety of formats, such as 30 × 12 meters or 50 × 7 meters.
Translight Day to Night
Translight backdrops are seamless cotton images made possible through our own-developed printing technology. Backdrops can be produced seamless up to 350 square meters (approx. 3,770 sq ft), in formats such as 30 × 12 meters (98 × 39 ft) or 50 × 7 meters (164 × 23 ft). For larger dimensions, backdrops can be created with carefully crafted seams to reach any size. By adjusting the lighting, the mood can shift from subtle to dramatic, bringing the imagery to life. Translight Day to Night is designed for continuous, seamless transitions between times of day using a single backdrop. A daytime image is printed on one side of the fabric, while a night-time image is printed on the reverse, precisely aligned.
Translight Magic
Translight Magic allows a single backdrop to carry two different images, one on each side. When the backdrop is front-lit, only the front image is visible. When lighting shifts behind the fabric, the image on the reverse side appears, revealing a second scene. This enables visual transformations without moving or replacing the backdrop. Printed on cotton as a seamless piece, Translight Magic provides a clean and uninterrupted expression even at large scale. The transition is controlled entirely through lighting.
Double-sided Motif
In double-sided prints, the same motif is printed on both sides of the cotton fabric with precise front-to-back alignment. This increases color saturation and creates a more balanced visual expression when the backdrop is lit from both the front and the back. It also allows moods and atmospheres to be shaped through lighting. When backlit, the image gains depth and a more atmospheric presence while maintaining color fidelity. By adjusting the direction and intensity of the light, the backdrop can shift between subtle and dramatic expressions.
