For Bayerische Staatsoper’s production of Die Nacht...

Some spaces hold objects. Others hold echoes. For Princeton University, Big Image transformed a publication archive into a transparent architectural installation for the exhibition Media and Modernity. Printed on sheer silver textile, the archive shifted with its surroundings - appearing crisp one moment, dissolving softly into reflection the next. Visitors moved through decades of architectural publishing as though stepping inside the archive itself. What began as printed matter became atmosphere. Imagine a boulevard that exists only for a moment. For Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2015 runway at Grand Palais, a Parisian boulevard took shape beneath the iconic glass dome – where façades stretch across the space in perfect rhythm. Marking the first collaboration between Chanel and Big Image, through Atelier Devineau, we premium printed the seamless visuals, transforming architecture into scenography. Light is not just illumination – it is depth, atmosphere, and perspective. In our lightboxes layers reveal, allowing each visual to unfold with clarity and presence. Echoes of the past, brought into new presence.   For the Swedish House of Nobility’s 400-year anniversary, Big Image enlarged an original painting into a large-scale print for this historic interior.   The work focused on translating the details, tones, and character of the original piece into a new format and scale.
